Laboratory educational and research activities
Technical and economic investigations in exploratory studies (to evaluate the potential of the deposit for exploiting and turning into a mine) are identified after systematic processing studies. These studies are also carried out in optimizing, exploiting and evaluating the performance of different sections of working mineral processing factories. This laboratory, with a total area of about 370 square meters, is the largest in the department and is also one of the most advanced processing laboratories in Iran, equipped with most of the equipment and devices needed for systematic studies including sample preparation, crushing, classification, and separation equipment.
The activities of this laboratory are:
Training different student groups (mining exploration, mining exploitation, and mineral processing)
Fulfilling the students' research needs by carrying out undergraduate, graduate and Ph.D. student projects
Carrying out research projects of department professors
Carrying out research projects referral from the industry
Flushit development studies and process design
Technical-economic studies of mineral processing processes
